Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data CeremonyMade processes, why, for how long and what your rights are. The controller is Ricardo Perez Twerdy, Calle Acacia 9, 03699 Alicante (Alicante), Spain, NIF 48783587N. Contact: support@ceremonymade.com.
1. What we collect
- Your answers: the couple's names and how to say them, pronouns, your name and relationship to them, the story you tell us, the ceremony's details (people walking in, readers, people remembered), the date and place, and the faith setting you choose.
- Purchase details: your email address, the purchase reference, the amount and its status. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see them.
- Technical data: a session cookie that keeps your preview and kit in your browser, and security logs (such as IP addresses used for rate limits). Analytics cookies only if you accept them (section 5); we don't use advertising cookies.
Your answers include information about other people: the couple, family members and guests. Please only share what you're comfortable sharing for preparing the ceremony, and leave out anything sensitive the ceremony doesn't need. If you choose a religious or interfaith ceremony, the tradition you name may reveal religious beliefs; we use it only to write the ceremony, with your consent, which you can withdraw by deleting your preview or kit.
2. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To write your preview and kit, deliver it and handle corrections and refunds: to provide the service you asked for (contract), and your consent for any religious details.
- To take payment, send receipts and keep purchase records: contract, and our legal obligations for accounting and tax.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse: our legitimate interest.
- To measure visits and purchases with Google Analytics, so we can see which pages help: your consent, which you can refuse or withdraw at any time.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use your answers to train AI models or for marketing.
3. Who processes it for us
- Google: the Gemini API generates the text of your ceremony from your answers, and Google Workspace sends our emails and holds our support correspondence.
- Stripe, which processes payments.
- Google Analytics, which measures visits and purchases, only if you accept it.
- Render, which hosts the service and its database.
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
4. How long we keep it
- Answers you start but don't complete into a preview: deleted after 24 hours.
- Previews you don't buy: deleted after 7 days.
- A kit you buy: available for 30 days after delivery, then deleted with your answers.
- Purchase records (reference, email, amount, date): kept for six years, as Spanish commercial and tax law require.
- Google Analytics: event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for up to 14 months; reports in aggregate, without identifiers, may be kept longer.
5. Cookies and analytics
The session cookie is necessary: it keeps your preview and kit in your browser without an account, lasts up to 30 days, is sent only over HTTPS and can't be read by the page's scripts.
Analytics is optional. The Google tag loads only after you accept it in the cookie banner. Google Analytics 4 then measures visits and the steps of the process (preview started, preview ready, checkout opened and purchase confirmed), using browser identifiers and a pseudonymised transaction identifier. These events never include your answers, names or email. Google's automatic measurement is on and may record metadata about links, downloads, forms and navigation, and Google receives technical connection data, including your IP address. We don't turn on ad personalisation or Google Signals, and we don't offer Google Ads measurement. Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area under its terms and safeguards; see Google's privacy policy.
We keep your choice in your browser for 180 days, and set Google Analytics cookies to last up to 180 days. You can refuse analytics and still use everything, or change your choice at any time from "Cookies" at the bottom of the page. When you withdraw consent we delete the analytics cookies this site controls and stop loading the tag; that doesn't delete data already sent to Google, and it doesn't affect processing before you withdrew.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to support@ceremonymade.com. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or to the data protection authority where you live.
7. Children
The service is for adults. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 except names given as part of a ceremony (for example, a ring bearer).
8. Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes and show the date above.
